Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday ruled out any future electoral alliance with Pakistan People's Party (PPP), saying Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) cannot even think about such a deal. Talking informally with reporters at his chamber at the Parliament House, Chaudhry Nisar lashed out at the PPP and alleged that President Asif Ali Zardari and his party had set "new records of corruption and irregularities" during their tenure.

"We should now get rid of the PPP, instead of entering into any electoral alliance for the upcoming general elections...in fact, there is no possibility of an alliance with PPP in future," he said.

Citing PML-N's decision to say 'good-bye' to PPP in Punjab, he said that his party had separated PPP from the Punjab government despite political expediency. "PPP should stop daydreaming about entering into an electoral alliance with PML-N," he maintained. Chaudhry Nisar also called for free, fair and transparent elections under a neutral caretaker set-up and said that the present ruling alliance had completely failed to deliver, adding that they would not be able to face the masses in the upcoming general elections.
